You can choose between two refrigeration modes for your medications:

• USB Power
• Ice Packs

Both options offer reliable and medical-grade refrigeration. Here's how to use them and what cooling efficiency and duration you can expect:

1. Using the Portable Refrigerator With Ice Pack

Ideal for off-grid trips, long-haul flights, or any situation where electricity isn’t available, the RxCoolers Max Portable Refrigerator for Medicine and Insulin can keep your medication safely chilled without the need for power, simply using the included Biogel ice pack.

1. Prepare the Biogel ice pack: Give it a good shake 4–5 times to evenly distribute the gel inside.
2. Freeze thoroughly: Place the ice pack in your freezer for at least 6 to 8 hours (overnight is best). Freezing it for longer is perfectly fine and won’t cause any damage.
3. Lightly defrost before use: To avoid freezing your medication, warm the surface slightly by either soaking the ice pack in lukewarm water for 2–3 minutes or leaving it at room temperature for 10–15 minutes.
4. Load and go: Dry the ice pack, insert it into the refrigerated tube, load your medication, and fit the regular lid (non-USB). You’re ready to travel.

🌡️ Hot conditions (around 35°C):The RxCoolers Max Portable Refrigerator keeps fridge temperatures (2–8°C) for up to 30 hours and keeps your medicine cool below 26°C for up to 48 hours.

🌡️ Extreme heat (around 40°C): The RxCoolers Max Portable Refrigerator keeps fridge temperatures (2–8°C) for up to 28 hours and keeps your medicine cool below 26°C for up to 46 hours.

2. Using the Portable Refrigerator with USB Power

When power is available, simply connect the USB lid of your RxCoolers Max portable medical refrigerator to maintain consistent refrigerated conditions.

The included USB-C to USB-A cable is compatible with:

• Power banks
• Car chargers
• USB wall plugs
• Portable solar panels

1. Load your medication: Place insulin pens, vials, or other temperature-sensitive medicines into the cooling chamber.
2. Connect and cool: Secure the USB lid and plug into your chosen power source. Cooling starts immediately.

Cooling Efficiency on USB Power

🌡️ Mild to hot conditions (up to 35°C): The RxCoolers Max USB Portable Refrigerator maintains refrigerated temperatures (2–8°C) continuously, as long as connected to a power source.

🌡️ Extreme heat (around 40°C): The RxCoolers Max USB Portable Refrigerator maintains a safe internal temperature below 26°C (cool, but not refrigerated), while powered.

Care & Maintenance Tips

To keep your RxCoolers Max Portable Refrigerator for Insulin in top condition over the years:

✅ What to do:

• Keep the USB lid upright and ensure ventilation holes are unobstructed.
• Use a cool hair dryer or air compressor to dust the vents every few weeks.
• Unplug the mini fridge for 15–20 minutes after every 4 days of continuous use.
• Wipe the stainless steel parts with a damp cloth.

🚫 What NOT to do:

• Do not immerse the refrigerator in water.
• Avoid harsh cleaning agents or abrasive materials.
