Here are step-by-step instructions for both methods:

1. USING YOUR MINI FRIDGE WITH ICE PACK (NO POWER)

Ideal for situations where you’re away from a power source—such as flights, coach trips, hiking holidays, or even just a long day out—the Biogel ice pack cooling method allows you to keep your insulin and medicines chilled without any need for plugs or charging.

1. Prepare the Ice Pack: Shake the Biogel ice pack four or five times to ensure the gel is evenly distributed throughout.
2. Freeze Thoroughly: Place the ice pack in your freezer for 6 to 8 hours before use. It’s absolutely fine to leave it in longer—it won’t damage the pack.
3. Brief Defrosting: Before placing it into the cooler, allow the frozen ice pack to sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes, or submerge it in lukewarm tap water for 2–3 minutes. This prevents frost from forming inside the case and protects your medication from accidental freezing.
